Hello Hello,
I hope everyone's December beginnings are going swell. I know these winter days sometimes get us down, so I have a lovely treat to brighten our days.

I was looking for some wonderfully cool, comfy, and winter proof soles for the blizzardous Canadian weather, not to mention- a great deal for a girl with a budget. And, what I found was better than ever!

Cougar boots which are not only winter approved, but they are super stylish and affordable! These boots retail for over $100 CAN in the mall and department store, but the awesome folks at DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), in association with Town Shoes, have got them priced at an awesome $69.99! Plus the FREE shipping and easy returns aren't too shabby either!

Click the pick to take you to DSW's website, and find yourself a treat!

Hunger Games: Katniss Fashion

Hello All,

I hope these winter days and nights aren't treating you too chilly. I happen to love the briskness of the winter air. As the winter days come and go, I was thinking that Miss Katniss Everdeen, and her stylists, know a thing or two about dressing for the winter months.
They have this amazing ability to layer different textures and mediums of clothing and accessories together, and I happen to think that these looks are not only tough enough for Panem but will also suffice for our harsh Canadian winters.

Inspiration look #1:

This cowl number it simply divine, and screams easy-breezy! You could easily pop it over a jacket like Katniss for a casual look, or even brooch it up with a nice dazzler for a chic night out like this Carmen MG Collection Leaf Brooch from The Shopping Channel.

Simple but chic- it doesn't get any better than that. Lover's of Katniss' cowl can with the click of a mouse grab their own cowl from the lovely artisans of . Some of my favorite cowls are hand knitted by the artists, so it's also a great one of a kind number because it's tough to mimic a knit or find and evenly dyed spool of yarn.

Katy Perry in Toronto

Hello Darlings,
This Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending Miss Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour at Toronto's ACC. From the costumes to the giant inflatable tacos, Miss Perry did it all, and most importantly she did it fantastically well!
From her Teenage Dream tour and biopic, I had so many expectations... They were very unfair, but Katy showed me.

Enjoy the pics and tell me what you think!

xoxo, Brit

A Fashionable Good Deed

Hi Loves,
This past week was WMCFW in Toronto! The events were great, the shows were even better. Being around the fashion, the sunglasses of front row, and the crowd was inspirational... and a little perspirational. The runways were booming with hot new designs from Canada's own talents. From Bustle to VAWK, you could feel the talent oozing from backstage to front of house!

@anurainadesigns #fall2014 #WMCFW

However, as a veteran fashion week attendee, I have come to realize... there has got to be more! The crowd, designs, and media were all so impressive but, attainable. I couldn't help but think, where do we go from here. Yes, the fashions were out of this world, but after sitting with my peers and watching the camera phones go off, I couldn't help but think.... how much did this all cost? And, my internal voice was screaming, "OMGosh... Am I over it?"

So, as most of you know, I did some traveling this past year across the globe, and realized, "Damn... there has to be more than fashion!"

Thus, I found a way to incorporate my love of fashion with something that could go beyond the runway, it's Free The Children's, Me to We. The Me to We site incorporates all that you love from the runways, while helping to those in need. It rhymes, it's fun, it's still shopping, but on the upside you are supporting the GLOBE!

So, get inspired and get shopping, because this marketplace feeds a village!
